Mahavir Jayanti - April 2006 at South East Jain Ass’n of UK

Under the auspicious presence of Gurudev Chitrabhanuji, South East Jain Ass’n in  Crowley UK celebrated Mahavir Jayanti with great enthusiasm and spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood. It was Bhagwan Mahavir who believed that God exists in all living beings and worked for the greater good of society with non-violence and peaceful co-existence.

 Gurudevji is the pioneer who brought Jain Dharma and Ahinsa to the Western World, and in his lectures he expressed many inspiring and heartwarming thoughts and concepts.  The power points were:

 God is not outside but is in all of us as Atma and Paramatma are the two sides of one coin.

 In every living life, there is a presence of the Divine so we do not insult anyone.  Bhagwan Mahavira has given us the message of Reverence for All Life through his example.  He said that Ahinsa is the Supreme Religion.

 Jain Dharma awakens the inherent which is slumbering within.

Enjoy living but don’t forget the living life.

Every parent is a role model for their children. ……. we see with our eyes and what we hear, that we see also because children are like plants.  If they are well-nourished with love, peace and respect, they bear the best of the fruit because tomorrow belongs to them.

Forgiveness is only a word but it has miraculous results.

Love your enemy because they show us what we are and where we are.  Try to replace weeds with rose plants.

The nucleus of the teachings of Jain Dharma is in the heart of ‘Live and Help Let Live.’

At the occasion, the children of this Ass’n sang a welcoming song to Gurudevji, and melodiously the young people sang Namo Arihantanam with young concert voices.  Vijaybhai and Kiranben enhanced the program with their harmonious voices and musical talents. 

From London, Ashwin Dharamshi, president of Oshwal Ass’n of UK, and Manohar Jain and Virendra Shah of S E Jain Ass’n of UK,  and all the participants danced with such ecstasy that the whole hall was filled with vibrant joyfulness befitting a birthday event.

Since then he has been lecturing and sharing his experiences  at universities, institutions and centers in America, England, Germany, Switzerland, Kobe Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nairobi of East Africa, as well as Dubai and Muscat.

His message has inspired thousands who were waiting to have a teaching free from dogmas and limitations and to have

direct experiences with unity in diversity, free from -ism and self-imposed limitations, in order to celebrate living life in love,

in peace, in Ahinsa, and in reverence for all life.  Imagine a bird of consciousness flying high in the sky leaving no trace behind.
